Thomas Blake, better known as Catman, is a fictional character appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Initially introduced as a flamboyant, wealthy burglar who used feline-themed gimmicks in his crimes, Catman debuted in Detective Comics #311 in 1963 as a Batman villain.

For decades, Catman was portrayed as a joke villain, often ridiculed for his ineffective and outlandish methods. However, writer Gail Simone revitalized the character in the pages of Villains United in 2005. This reimagining depicted Blake as a skilled tracker and survivalist who had grown disillusioned with his life of crime and sought purpose.

Now possessing enhanced senses and peak human condition, Catman became a key member of the Secret Six, showcasing his ruthless pragmatism and surprising nobility. This version of Catman often struggled with his violent nature and found solace in his connection with animals, particularly big cats. He now operates as an anti-hero rather than a simple villain, although is still quite capable of evil.
